Man Killed in a Plane Crash While Spreading His Fathers Ashes

Police reported a Las Vegas man died in a small airplane crash in Minnesota whereas he was scattering his father’s ashes throughout a flight.

Lee Cemensky, 58, was using together with pilot Douglas Johnson, 61, on August 28 in what police described as a “selfmade” and “ultralight” plane that crashed right into a wooded space, in keeping with CBS affiliate KLAS-TV.

Lt. Craig Katzenberger of the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Workplace informed KLAS-TV that deputies who responded to the scene of the crash realized that Cemensky was scattering his father’s ashes. 

In line with an obituary from the Koop Funeral Dwelling, Cemensky’s father, Leo John Cemensky, 80, died at his residence on August 7. 

The crash is underneath investigation by the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s workplace, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Nationwide Transportation Security Board, officers stated.
